About The Artist

The beach is my happy place. My art studio, my playground.

I was born in Point Lonsdale. I later studied in Melbourne, working in advertising. I returned home to paint the beautiful coastal environment. I started with hand-painting t-shirts at the Queenscliffe Market. With increasing popularity for my work, I moved to a shop on the main street. My designs were applied to tourism at a local and state level. On the Mornington Peninsula, I exhibited my paintings at Blairgowrie, a popular beach and boating spot. I received commissions from wineries and exhibited at SouthBank, Melbourne, Sandringham, Mt. Eliza, and on the Great Ocean Road at Aireys Inlet. In 2008, I was invited to residencies at Hamilton Island in tropical North Queensland. The perfect place for my vibrant art. Sailing artworks express the energy and colour of yacht racing. Tropical reefs abound with color, texture and movement.

I love the Twitter post on my account, by an international solo sailor -

"You paint what it is to sail".

I studied at "The Gordon" in Geelong with qualifications in Visual Arts, specialising in acrylic painting techniques.

My art is collected worldwide. I’ve exhibited in Italy, France, London and the Maldives.  In 2016, I accepted an invitation to reside on a luxury island resort in the Maldives. Three months of sunshiny days, palm trees and white coral sands.

These experiences flow through me in the studio, after a meander along the beach at Point Lonsdale with my Dachsund Patrick.  At day’s end, we go out exploring again, refreshed by the ever-changing sea and sky.

Commissions are welcome.
